Peruvian born, Patricia Trautman is an artist based in London. Her academic background in Psychology and Art History has given her an insight into the human condition. She is motivated and inspired by sensations rather than by ideas trying to manifest this through her work. She is primarily concerned with visual and aesthetic energy of the painted surface. She loves how painting operates as a continuous dialogue with the perceptual aspects of colour, shape, form and movement creating a sophisticated system of expression. She mainly likes to explore human form, characters as well as human fragility. Her work is characterised by it’s strong realism while trying to capturing the individuals' soul..
She has exhibited for the past few years in several Hampstead School of Art exhibitions and holds a Certificate in Fine Arts from the Art Academy London where she was mentored by many recognised artist including Robin-Lee Hall, Anastasia Pollard, Sue Paul and Tim Benson,
